TMJ disorders

 

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction is determined to disorders of the muscles of mastication, ligaments, articular disc or bone structures that join the mandibular to the skull.

Some of the main symptoms of the ATM’s poor function are:

– Pain in front of the ear. – Ear pain.
-Earache.
-Dizziness or dizziness.
-Bearing ears.
-Headache.
– Chewing pain in the morning. – Chewing pain in the morning.
-Chap (crack) when opening mouth, eating or talking.
– Enrichment of the facial region.
-Trismus (limitation to oral opening).

There are diagnostic methods such as x-rays, ultrasound, tomography or magnetic resonance that help us determine the real problem, which is important because it depends on how to perform the treatment that can range from oral medications, medications within the joint or surgery thereof.
