Maxillary sinus floor elevation

The process pneumatization sinus para-nasal, is a physiological process, however when we lose dental organs of the posterior maxilla, it is common that this space is occupied by the maxillary sinus, leaving little remaining bone, making it impossible placement of dental implants.

A common procedure for the oral surgeon, is the elevation of the mucosa of the maxillary sinus floor, placing new bone, making possible the placement of dental implants.

This whole procedure can be performed in a few minutes with local anesthesia.
